The benefits of volunteering
There are several compelling reasons to volunteer at Michigan State University:
Experiential Learning: Volunteering provides hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. By engaging in community service, you gain practical skills and insights beyond the classroom.
Networking and Connections: You’ll meet fellow students from diverse backgrounds and majors, as well as members of the East Lansing community. Building these connections can enhance your personal and professional network.
Resume Building: Volunteering adds value to your resume. It demonstrates your commitment to community engagement, teamwork, and social responsibility, which are qualities employers often seek.
Confidence and Understanding: Volunteering helps boost confidence and empathy. As you contribute to meaningful causes, you’ll gain a better understanding of others’ perspectives and needs.
Remember, volunteering isn’t just about giving back—it’s also about personal growth and making a positive impact!
